This simple information gives the company's leaders the chance to improve the first impression they make with potential customers. Website analysis should be thought of as a marketing tool- or a part of market research- that can help increase customer satisfaction. Website analysis is a simple but time consuming process. Small websites can be analyzed and reviewed in less time than larger websites with many pages that will be more time consuming. It is helpful to start with a spreadsheet program that allows for ease in adding data regarding each link and each webpage. Dead and broken links take precious time away from potential customers. Pages that do not load correctly waste the website visitor's time. Any non-functioning links and improperly loading pages should be carefully recorded. It is recommended that problems related to poor website function be the first thing fixed because it is one of the main things that will repel Internet customers.
